Education:
Successful completion of a secondary school diploma or employer approved alternatives (a satisfactory score on the PSC test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience).
Occupational Certification:
- Must have a minimum CAT 2 certification in accordance with the Civilian Ammunition Technician Accreditation Program.
- Possession of a valid provincial Class “G” driver’s licence.
Experience:
- Experience in performing the mechanical breakdown repairs, modifications, maintenance, testing of ammunition, explosives, missiles and related items.
- Experience in issuing, receiving, warehousing and inspecting ammunition, explosives, missiles and related items.
- Experience in ammunition salvage.
- Experience in disposing of ammunition, explosives and related items by demolition, mutilation, recuperation and preparation for sales.
- Experience in operating laboratory, calibration, test, Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and Material Support Equipment (MSE).
Abilities:
- Ability to communicate orally.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS - Experience:
- Experience working with ammunition or explosives in a military environment.

Organizational Needs:

Operational Requirements:
- Willingness to work overtime.
- Some travel will be required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid DND 404 driver’s licence.
- Lift items weighing up to 20.5 kg (45lbs) unassisted.
- Work in all weather conditions and in unheated buildings.
- Possession of CSA approved Safety Footwear.
- Wear a variety of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including respiratory protection.
Security Clearance: Various security clearances (Reliability, Secret or Confidential).
Possess a valid class “5” driver’s licence without restrictions issued by province of Manitoba or equivalent licence from other province.
Must attend Employer selected and scheduled training.
