This process will be used by the Department of National Defence to establish a pool of partially qualified candidates which will be used to staff similar positions at equivalent groups and levels with various employment tenures, language profiles, security requirements, and conditions of employment.

Experience providing administrative or clerical support services*
*Depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of the duties on a continuous basis over a period of approximately 6 months, within the last 5 years will be assessed using your application, and may be further assessed using references or other means.
*Administrative or clerical support services is defined as, but not limited to: the collection and consolidation of information for the production of various reports, coordination of document approval and incoming/outgoing correspondence, planning and coordination of meetings/conferences, drafting minutes, monitoring expenses and maintaining a budget, managing an electronic calendar and emails in support of a superior; processing business travel requests and arrangements and other related duties.
Depending on the position being staffed, any of the qualifications below may be deemed as essential requirements.
EXPERIENCE
Significant experience* providing administrative or clerical support services.
Experience providing administrative support to senior management.
Experience making travel arrangements and preparing travel claims.
Experience using a financial system such as SAP.
Experience in budget administration.
Experience in using advanced features of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook such as formulas, pivot tables, searches and formatting.
Experience in supervision.
Experience working in compensation, payroll or insurance administration.
Experience working in an information management (IM), information technology (IT) or security environment.
Experience working with sensitive and confidential information such as Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP).
*Significant experience is defined as experience gained over approximately 24 months.

Salary: AS-01 $51,538 - $57,643 / AS-02 $57,430 - $61,877
Applicants must complete the Unsupervised Internet Test of Judgment (TOJ 374) as part of the screening for this selection process. This test assesses the judgement required for solving problems in work-related situations. The test presents hypothetical and challenging situations encountered at work that involve communication, interpersonal skills, initiative, decision making, analytical thinking and action management. You will have 75 minutes to complete the test. Further to a review of your application, you may be invited to complete the test shortly after you submit your application for this position.
Please note that if you are participating in one of the below noted selection processes simultaneous to this one, you will only be assessed once and your results will be applied to all processes. You are required to submit an application to each selection process to be considered further for positions identified in those locations. In the event that you are found unsuccessful in the assessment process, the retest period for assessment is 180 days from the date of elimination. The qualified pool of candidates may be shared with other Federal Government of Canada departments at a later date.
A random and/or top down selection of candidates may be used in the determination of those to be given further consideration in the assessment process.
Preference will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
