Pension Excellence Sector AS-05 duties can include the following:
- Providing expert advice, interpretation and guidance to clients concerning the impact of proposed legislation or policy changes on government wide compensation applications and systems;
- Providing authoritative interpretation and advice concerning the application of Treasury Board compensation policy; manages a client support advisory and problem resolution service;
- Enforcing regulatory compliance through interpretation and analysis of acts, regulations and delivers services, applications and systems to improve government wide compensation applications and systems;
- Analyse systems and technology requirements, involving the consolidation of inputs from other government departments, central agencies, private institutions and legislative changes, determines impact on compensation systems and provides recommendations;
- Developing the business aspects of major projects and/or multiple development projects and utilizes an automated reporting system and a problem reporting system, to manage, monitor and report on project implementation.
- Participating in working groups and special committees dealing with compensation and benefits related matters.

This is an inventory of candidates to staff similar AS-05 positions within the Receiver General and Pension Branch of Public Service and Procurement Canada, located in Ottawa (Ontario). This inventory could also be used to staff similar positions within the Public Service.
Employees of the federal public service may be considered for deployments, assignments, secondments or actings.
This inventory may be used to staff similar positions on a permanent (indeterminate), or a temporary (term or casual) basis with various linguistic profiles and locations.

** Since this is an inventory to staff various AS-05 positions, the statement of merit criteria (required qualifications) could vary for each position. When a position becomes available, candidates will be pulled from the inventory to be assessed based on the required qualifications. References may be done: You must provide the name, title, telephone number and email address of two (2) potential referees who have been your direct superior/supervisor during your professional relationship.
