The Administrative Tribunals Support Service of Canada (ATSSC) is a group of committed public servants providing support services to 11 administrative tribunals.

Intent of the process

We are looking for dynamic Senior Registry Officers/Team Leaders to join the registry operations of secretariats supporting the various tribunals we serve. Senior Register Officers/Team Leaders are individuals who share our core values of Service Excellence, Team Work, Integrity and Collaboration and Respect.

A fully or partially assessed pool may be created and may be used to staff similar positions at an identical or equivalent group and level with various linguistic requirements, tenures and security clearances within the ATSSC.

Degree equivalency

Experience in delivering quasi-judicial or judicial operational requirements in provincial and/or territorial Court, Tribunal, Board, Commission, law firm, or equivalent.

Graduation from a post-secondary school program with specialization in paralegal studies, public or business administration or in another relevant field.

Degree equivalency

Experience in the supervision of employees, including the distribution of work, performance management, etc.
Experience analyzing diverse types of documentation filed by lawyers or self-represented litigants to assess accuracy, urgency and completeness of information in order to recommend the best course of action to Management.
Experience in drafting complex correspondence.
Experience in reviewing and formatting decisions, judgments, orders, or similar types of documents issued by a Court, Tribunal, Board, Commission, law firm, or equivalent.
Extensive experience in the use of an electronic case management system.
Experience working effectively with judges, Governor-in-Council appointees, Commissioners, etc.
Experience performing duties of a registrar during quais-judicial proceedings (e.g. swearing witnesses, taking evidence, acting as court reporter etc).
Experience in interpreting and applying acts, regulations or guidelines.
Experience in any of the following areas: cultural property or museums, direct or indirect support of indigenous peoples, domestic or international commerce, human rights, social benefits programs, agriculture and transportation.
