The intent of this process is to staff one (1) indeterminate position in
Bonnyville, Alberta.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff future permanent and/or temporary vacancies in Eastern Alberta District within the RCMP. In the event of a temporary vacancy, the following staffing actions may be
used and /or considered: acting appointment, term appointment, assignment or
secondment.

A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.±
±Proof of education and/or training will be required prior to appointment.
Recent* and significant** experience providing administrative support services*** to a team or a manager.
Experience in using spreadsheet software, an electronic mail system and a word processing system.
Experience in providing service to clients by telephone, in person or in writing.
Experience in employee supervision such as assigning work, scheduling, and monitoring performance.
*Recent experience signifies having performed these duties within the last two years.
**Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with approximately two years of experience, including a broad range of administrative support services.
***Administrative support services could include duties such as managing someone else’s daily schedule, planning and/or coordinating meetings, preparing and/or coordinating incoming/outgoing correspondence, maintaining electronic and hard copy file systems, taking meeting minutes, etc.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
Successful completion of post-secondary courses with a specialization related to supervision or management.
Experience in the provision of administrative, financial and operational support services in a police environment.
Experience using a financial management system.
