Intent of the process

Acting appointments will be offered to qualified candidates to staff current vacancies. It should be noted that the purpose of this process is to first staff supervisory positions for evening or night schedules. The work schedule for positions to be filled is as follows:

EVENING SCHEDULE: 16h00 to 24h00
- Sunday to Thursday
- Tuesday to Saturday

NIGHT SCHEDULE: 00:00 to 08:00
- Sunday to Thursday
- Tuesday to Saturday

A pool of qualified or partially qualified candidates could be established as a result of this process and used to fill similar positions in the same group and level with various linguistic profiles, various security profile and durations (acting appointment, assignment / secondment, transfer, term and/or indeterminate position) within Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

EDUCATION

A secondary school diploma.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

Recent* and significant ** supervisory experience with a team of employees (Examples of elevant responsibilities include managing workload, performance and employee relations, leave approval, professional development, etc.)

Experience in establishing and maintaining effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

* “Recent” is defined as within the last two (3) years.
** “Significant experience” is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with full time performance of duties for a consecutive period of one (1) year.

When providing your answers, it is not sufficient to simply state that the qualification is "met" or provide a listing of current or past responsibilities. You must provide concrete specific examples to illustrate how you meet each experience identified in the questions and follow this format:

1- Your answers must include where and how you obtained the required experience.

ASSETS EXPERIENCE

Experience working in a production-oriented office.

Experience in leading / supervising and / or coordinating project (s) or working group.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

-Ability to work a regular 7.5-hour shift schedule, either from Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday, on days, evenings or nights)
-Ability to work in a 24/7 environment.
-Availability, willingness and ability to work overtime when required.

Conditions of employment

Secret security clearance

Shift work will be required for the majority of positions to be filled. Consent, be available and able to work shifts in the evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, and be able to do so.

Note: Successful applicants must meet and maintain these conditions throughout the term of employment.
