The Department of National Defence (DND) is one of the largest federal government employers. DND's role is to provide services and support to the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) in their operations and missions at home and abroad. As a civilian employee, you will be an essential part of the Defence Team. As a Public Servant working at the Canadian Forces Base Edmonton, you will have access to free fitness facilities and free parking.
The intent of this process is to staff one indeterminate position in Edmonton, Alberta. A pool of qualified candidates may be created and may be used to staff similar positions at the same or equivalent group and levels with various tenures and security profiles.

Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, aeronautical engineering, geological engineering, naval architecture or some other engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
Experience:
Significant and recent experience in planning maintenance and construction projects.
Significant and recent experience in planning and implementing process improvement.
Significant and recent experience in business case analysis.
Significant and recent experience in managing construction program financial and materiel resources.
Significant and recent experience in managing a multidisciplinary team.
Significant and recent experience maintaining financial budgets and forecasts
Significant and recent experience preparing reports, presentations, briefing notes and correspondence for senior management
Note :
Significant experience is understood to mean the depth and breadth of the experience normally acquired by performing a broad range of various, complex related activities over a period of approximately two (2) years.
Recent is defined as within the last five (5) years.
Education:
Post-graduate university degree in a related field.
Occupational Certification:
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute.
Hold a licence and be a member in good standing in one of the provincial Professional Engineering Associations.
Experience:
Experience in SAP PS (Project Systems) Module.

Willingness and ability to work overtime on short notice.
