Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to create a pool of essentially qualified candidates of various tenures (indeterminate, term, acting, assignment, secondment) within Transport Canada, Quebec Region, Dorval Regional office.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION
• A High School Diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience in the railway field.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCES
• Significant experience* with a Canadian railway company in construction and maintenance of railway tracks as a supervisor or track inspector or in an equivalent field position with a railway contractor or supplier.
• Experience in the evaluation of track conditions and compliance with Canadian standards.
* Significant experience means at least 2 years of experience.

• Knowledge of the principles and practices related to the design, construction and maintenance of tracks.
• Knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of Transport Canada in railway safety.
