A pool of qualified candidates could be established for the purpose of staffing similar positions of varying lengths (term, indeterminate, assignment, secondment, transfer and acting).

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

• Education:
- Successful completion of an acceptable diploma program in Physics Engineering Technology at a recognized institute of technology or undergraduate degree from a recognized university in a specialization/field relevant to the duties of the position such as Physics engineering technology.

Degree equivalency

• Experience :
- Recent working experience within multidisciplinary projects in a research and development context

- Experience in design of setup, test and characterization of electro-optical equipment

- Experience in measurements taking with electro-optical equipments, in a laboratory and in the field

- Experience in processing and recording experimental data

- Experience in maintenance and calibration of advanced laboratory equipment

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Asset Qualifications
• Experience in thermal camera characterization
• Experience in night vision system (Night Vision Goggle type) characterization
• Experience in optical systems characterization
• Experience in the development of new test methodologies, working within a multidisciplinary team
• Recent working experience within multidisciplinary projects in a research and development context applicable to Defence
