**The first applicant pull will be on January 11th, 2019.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within Information Management Services Branch of Correctional Service of Canada across Canada with various linguistic profiles and/or requirements, various security clearance levels as well as various tenures (indeterminate, specified period, deployment, acting, secondment, assignment) according to the position being staffed.

EDUCATION
(All Streams)
Successful completion of a two (2) year of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed; or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience relevant to the position.
Note: Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE
(All Streams)
Recent*and significant ** experience in at least one of the following:
• supporting IT infrastructure,
• developing web-based applications and/or mobile applications,
• delivering IT security services,
• delivering IT client services in a networked environment or to external partners.
• delivering quality assurance testing of web-based applications or mobile applications.
• delivering operational support of multi-tier applications.
Experience in analyzing and evaluating user requirements and developing solutions or experience in conducting technical research or analysis on IM/IT issues and providing technical advice, guidance and/or recommendation to supervisors, clients and/or stakeholders.
Experience in technical writing by preparing or contributing to IM/IT documentation and/or material.
(Stream A)
*Recent experience in providing remote and on-site technical support to clients for hardware, software, connectivity and network related problems
(Stream B)
Recent* and significant** experience working with IM/IT cross functional teams and/or liaising with business clients
* Recent is defined as performing the duties within the last five years.

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree from a recognized university with an acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position.
Certification relevant to information technology such as: Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP), or Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), A+, Networking +, MCSE, Project Management, Agile, Database Administration .

EXPERIENCE
Experience in construction projects as it relates to Information Management and Information Technology (IM/IT) requirements.
Experience with installation, configuration, administration and tuning of any of the following, in a virtual environment: Microsoft Windows Server 2008 or higher, Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), Java Application Server, Oracle Web Logic Server, Oracle RDBMS v12, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, and Microsoft Active Directory.
Experience in scripting queries/modifications to Microsoft Active Directory objects.
Experience with software engineering processes (configuration management, quality assurance, requirements management)
Experience developing dynamic web applications using at least one of the following, but not limited to the following: CSS, HTML, XML, ASP, C#, JavaScript, JSON, PHP, SOAP, REST, JSP, MEAN, Python, etc.
Experience managing a work unit.
Experience supporting Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) (MyKey) and its role within CSC.
Experience in configuring, supporting and monitoring network equipment and servers.
Experience in supporting a datacentre environment.
Experience in IT Security: (e.g. vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, security risk management, exposure assessments, IT continuity planning.)
Experience in assessing the IT Security impacts of recommended changes in Information Management / Information Technology Services, which could have an impact on CSC employees or its clientele.
Experience in delivering IT Security training sessions and awareness sessions.
Experience working with Correctional Service Canada
Experience** with video conferencing or telemedicine equipment such as but not inclusively endpoints, bridges and scheduling software for the use of IP and ISDN calls.
Experience developing APIs in a web service architecture.
Experience in developing applications using .NET and/or MEAN stack (Mongo, Express, Angular, Node).
Experience with collecting business requirements and writing use cases.
Experience performing identity and access management using Active Directory.
Experience in developing mobile applications (Android or Ionic cross-platform frameworks).
Experience with open source tools and repositories.
Experience implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) when developing or modifying web applications
Experience with RDBMS (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL) or noSQL databases in one or more of the following areas:
• development of application
• database administration
• operational support
• database architecture and data modeling
• technology upgrades
Experience with providing or delivering cloud services or managing cloud-based environments.
Experience with AGILE methodology
Experience in creating and maintaining ETL processes in scripts in a data warehouse environment.
Experience in structuring, transforming and reporting data using various BI tools.
Experience with development on ERPs, such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Peoplesoft.
Experience in quality assurance with regards to testing custom software and web applications using automation tools.
Experience in developing and maintaining automated scripts using testing tools such as Rational Functional Tester.
Willingness to travel/need to travel occasionally
Must be able to work overtime that may be required from time to time, this may include on-call, standby, call-back or after-hours work
Valid driver’s license
Reliability Status security clearance - Some positions require a Secret Level Clearance.
