Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to staff one indeterminate position and a pool of qualified candidates will be established to staff future vacancies with various tenures.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Successful completion of an acceptable two-year, post-secondary education program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

NOTE: Indeterminate incumbents of CS positions on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education described above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in developing, testing and maintaining Microsoft ASP.Net and/or Microsoft Dynamic CRM.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accessing / programming Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle databases.

Experience in developing, delivering and/or supporting IM/IT solutions using defined methodologies and best practices.

Experience in analyzing business/client requirements; providing advice, options and/or recommendations in the definition, development and/or implementation of IM/IT solutions.

Experience in providing support to IM/IT activities/projects for multiple clients, prioritizing workload and/or meeting deadlines in a multi-tasking environment.

Asset Qualifications:

Certification(s) in any of the following:
- I.S.P
- MSC (Microsoft Certified. Any)
- Oracle and/or SQL

Experience programming in one or more of the following: .Net, ASP, ASP.net, SQL, VB .Net, VB, VBA, VB Script, CSS, HTML, or XML.
Experience with SharePoint.
Experience with Telerik controls
Experience with AJAX controls
Experience with ADX Studio Portal software
Experience with Team Foundation Server
Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Experience with Crystal Reports
Experience with InfoPath

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance

Candidates may be required to work overtime on short notice with appropriate compensation from time to time.

Candidates may be required to travel outside of the Edmonton area for periods up to 5 days.
