We are committed to providing an inclusive and barrier-free work environment, starting with the hiring process. If you need to be accommodated during any phase of the evaluation process, please use the Contact information below to request specialized accommodation. All information received in relation to accommodation will be kept confidential.
***IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS***
1. The application process includes screening questions that will be used as part of the assessment. You will be prompted to complete a self-assessment on some qualifications. We cannot make assumptions about your qualifications. It is important that candidates clearly demonstrate how and why they meet the qualifications, giving detailed examples for each element. As such, it is imperative that candidates adequately complete the screening questionnaire and manage their time accordingly.
2. As asset qualifications could be used for referral of candidates, please ensure you complete the screening questions if you meet these qualifications. A person may be appointed even though he/she does not meet any or all of the asset qualifications. However, it may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed.
3. Job offers resulting from this process will be either permanent (indeterminate), specified period (term) appointments, part-time worker or casual employment. Candidates may be randomly selected* from this process for assessment purposes.
*Random selection is a strategy that is sometimes used to manage applicant volume. It identifies a sub-sample of applicants by applying the element of chance using criteria identified by the hiring organization. The Public Service Resourcing System - the electronic system used to advertise this job opportunity and receive and select applications - will perform the random selection function in this process.
4. For the experience criteria, please note that it is not sufficient to only state that the qualification is met or to provide a listing of current or past responsibilities. The candidate must provide concrete examples to demonstrate that the qualification is met. In addition, the candidate is encouraged to describe in detail when, where and how he/she gained the experience.
5. Resumés will be used ONLY as a secondary source to validate the experience described.
6. FAILURE TO PROVIDE AN APPROPRIATE LEVEL OF DETAIL WILL RESULT IN THE REJECTION OF YOUR APPLICATION. CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE SOLICITED FOR INCOMPLETE OR POSSIBLE MISSING INFORMATION.
PLEASE NOTE: The ability to communicate effectively in writing will be assessed through your responses to the screening questions and resume.
