Intent of the process

Current need is to staff one indeterminate Director, Technology Analysis Directorate position.

A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions at an identical or equivalent group and level with various security profiles (reliability, secret, top secret), various tenures (indeterminate, specified period) using various staffing activities (indeterminate, term, deployment, acting, assignment, secondment) for positions with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Public Service.

Education:
Graduation with a degree* from a recognized post-secondary institution**

* Degree: A baccalaureate as established by educational authorities.
** Recognized post-secondary institution: Public or private institution that has been given authority to grant degrees, diplomas, and other credentials by a public or private act of a provincial/territorial legislature or through a government-mandated quality assurance mechanism. For greater certainty, also included are institutions authorized to grant specific academic credentials for specific academic programs.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
Experience in managing human resources*
Experience in identifying and analyzing scientific or technological trends and developments
Experience in providing analysis and guidance as a recognized expert on complex scientific or technological issues
Experience in establishing and fostering strategic collaborations with external partners and stakeholders

Definition:
*Managing human resources may include the following activities: supervising staff, establishing vision, priorities, establishing work plans or performance objectives, conducting performance assessments and feedback, or approving training. Applicants must also indicate the number of staff they have supervised.
