Here are examples of the key activities linked to this position:
- Complete Aboriginal pre-consultation analysis reports, and conduct comprehensive research to help support this analysis.
- Make recommendations, and provide training, concerning the obligation to consult under Section 35 of the Constitution Act 1982, to internal stakeholders and senior management.
- Conduct and support Indigenous engagement and consultation meetings, including activities under the Ocean Protection Plan.
-Support the implementation of the Principles respecting the Government of Canada's relationship with Indigenous peoples.

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree* from a recognized post-secondary institution
*Degree: Unless it is otherwise specified (e.g., Master’s degree), the term “degree” refers to a baccalaureate as established by educational authorities.
EXPERIENCE:
- Recent* experience in consulting and engaging with Indigenous Groups and stakeholders
- Recent* experience in coordinating, implementing and managing projects or activities involving a multidisciplinary team
- Recent* experience working on projects in collaboration with internal or external stakeholders
- Recent* experience in providing advice and recommendations to senior management**
- Recent* Experience in managing multiple, often conflicting priorities
*Recent experience is determined by the depth and breadth of experience typically defined as a minimum of one (1) year over the last three (3) years.
** Senior management is defined as leaders of a private, public, or community organization.
