The intent of this process is to immediately staff one indeterminate position.
A pool of qualified or partially assessed candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level with various linguistic profiles, security requirements, conditions of employment as well as various tenures (acting, assignment/secondment, deployment, term and/or indeterminate) within Library and Archives Canada.

Education:
Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with an acceptable specialization in social media, communications or another specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
Note 1: As per the Government of Canada qualification standards for the core public administration, the term “degree” refers to a bachelor as established by educational authorities.
Note 2: At the manager’s discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience, may serve as an alternative to the minimum education standard.
Experience:
•Recent and significant* experience in leading social media activities, including developing and implementing communications strategies, plans, campaigns and/or guidelines
•Experience in managing teams, including the planning, coordination, and assessment of the work performed by employees and/or contractors
•Experience in providing digital communications advice to senior officials**
•Recent and significant* experience in using social media creatively in a professional capacity.
*Recent and significant experience is defined by the depth and breadth of experience that is normally acquired by performing a broad range of related activities which are normally acquired over a period of two years or more within the last three years. The amount, the complexity and the diversity of activities, as well as the autonomy level will also be taken into consideration.
**Senior officials are defined as Director (EX-01) and above.
