EDUCATION
• A secondary school diploma OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
• Possession of a valid Canadian Airline Transport Pilot License - Aeroplane Category with valid Group 1 Instrument Rating AND possession of a valid Restricted Radio-Telephone Operator Certificate (endorsed Aeronautical);
OR
• Possession of a valid Canadian Commercial Pilot License - Helicopter Category with a valid Group IV Instrument Rating AND possession of a valid Restricted Radio-Telephone Operator Certificate (endorsed Aeronautical).
MINIMUM FLIGHT TIME:
• At least one of the following :
o Total of 3,000 hours flight time, which includes 1,500 hours as pilot-in-command of which 500 hours is in multi-engine aeroplanes; OR
o Total of 3,000 hours flight time, which includes 1,500 hours as pilot-in-command of which 500 hours is in medium or heavy category helicopters; OR
o Total of 3,000 hours flight time, which includes 1,500 hours as pilot-in-command of which 500 hours is in single engine turbine powered Aircraft; OR
o Total of 1500 hours flight time, which includes 500 hours in either multi-engine aeroplanes OR 500 hours single engine turbine powered aircraft OR medium or heavy category helicopters.
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a pilot at a Canadian Air Operator, Private Operator, Flight Training Unit or in the Canadian Military.

• Asset 1: Degree from a recognized university.
• Asset 2: Post-secondary education in an aviation or related program to the position.
• Asset 3: Possession of a Canadian Flight Instructor Rating OR a Canadian Forces Instructor Category.
• Asset 4: Experience as a training pilot.
• Asset 5: Experience as a Class 1 Aerobatics Instructor.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Required to travel to local, national and international destinations.
• Required to travel via all modes of transportation to remote and/or isolated locations.
• Required to work in an aviation environment (i.e. noise, fumes, hazards).
• Required to work overtime, irregular hours and weekends.¸
Secret security clearance
• Must have a valid Airline Transport Pilot License (Aeroplane) or a Commercial Pilot License (Helicopter).
• Must hold a valid Driver’s license.
