Do you like a challenge when you come to work? If so, the position of a Benefits Analyst could be the perfect opportunity for you. You will receive a high volume of incoming calls from our clients and stakeholders in a fast paced call centre environment. Due to the high volume of requests you will learn how to prioritize your day as you will have continuous interruptions, responding to inquiries over the phone and processing fax requests. This could be an opportunity for you to develop new skills and further develop skills you already have; such skills include attention to detail, improved computer skills, communication skills, conflict management, workload management and prioritization.
Non-Insured Health Benefits is a unit of Indigenous Services Canada which is the Federal department responsible for helping First Nations and Inuit people of Canada to maintain and improve their health, while respecting individual choices and circumstances.
A pool of qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff identical or similar positions with various tenures such as permanent , specified term, acting, assignments/secondments, or deployments. It may also be used to staff identical or similar positions by other regions or federal departments across Canada.
Depending on the needs of the organization, a random selection may be used at any time during the inventory process to establish which applicants from the inventory will be assessed.
Re-evaluation period: If you submitted an application and/or underwent assessment and were found not qualified, you may resubmit an application to be considered after a 6 month waiting period, from the time when the last application or assessment was completed.
A notice that your application is about to expire will be posted to the My jobs menu of your account 15 days before the end of your active period. If you do not take action, your application will no longer be active and therefore no longer considered for this inventory. Should your application become inactive while the process is still open, a notice will be posted to your account indicating that your application has expired; you may select the link Update my Inventory Status to reaffirm your interest.
There are several Non-Insured Health Benefit analysts (CR-05) inventories being run across Canada concurrently. If you are interested in multiple locations, you are required to apply to the specific inventory poster related to those locations. These inventories are utilizing the same merit criteria. If you have applied on multiple inventories you will only be assessed once per reassessment period. Your results will be applied to the Inventories you submitted applications for. Inventories will be refreshed every 90 days.

ORGANIZATIONAL NEED:
In alignment with the First Nations Inuit Health Branch Aboriginal Persons Employment Program and in support of increasing Aboriginal representation in areas having the most impact on program delivery and health outcomes of FNIHB’s target population, selection may be limited to candidates self-identifying as belonging to Aboriginal peoples.
