Intent of the process

This process will be used to staff one indeterminate position. A pool of qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff similar positions on an indeterminate, term, deployment, assignment, secondment, acting or casual basis in the Department of National Defence.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Possession of a valid Manitoba Class 3 Driver’s Licence with an Air Brake endorsement or provincial / territorial equivalent.

An acceptable clean driver’s abstract.

Experience in driving Class 3 vehicles up to and including 5 ton cargo vehicles.
Experience in driving Class 4 vehicles up to and including 15 Passenger vans.

Ability to operate a Class 3 cargo vehicles.
Ability to operate a Class 4 passenger vehicles.
Ability to communicate effectively orally.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
Ability to work independently.

*Recent experience with the transportation of passengers in a professional capacity.

Possession of an acceptable driver’s abstract dated no later than 60 days before the date on which they are notified of their consideration for a position.
