Assessment accommodation

Intent of the process

This process will initially be used to staff 1 CR-04 position on a full-time indeterminate basis within the St. Paul Detachment and 1 CR-05 position on a term basis within the Cold Lake Detachment. Qualified pools of candidates will be established and may be used to staff similar positions on a term and/or permanent basis.

The pool could be used to offer acting appointments, assignments, secondments or deployments.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

• Successful completion of two years of secondary school, or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.*
*Candidates invited to an interview will be required to bring proof of their education credentials, in the form of a diploma or official transcript.

Degree equivalency

• Experience in the provision of clerical support services, including three of the following: data entry, preparing correspondence, ordering office supplies, filing, or processing mail.

• Experience using word processing and spreadsheet software.

• Experience providing service to internal or external clients / general public, via telephone or in person.

• Ability to communicate effectively in writing.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

• Experience in data entry.
• Experience providing financial support services (services may include, but are not limited to, verifying, correcting and reconciling financial claims, controlling and monitoring petty cash, preparing financial status reports, etc.).
• Experience maintaining a law enforcement database such as: Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC), Police Reporting and Occurrence System (PROS), JOIN, Automated Criminal Intelligence Information System (ACIIS), National Criminal Data Bank (NCDB), Evidence and Reports III (E&R III).
• Experience transcribing from digital media.

Conditions of employment

• RCMP security clearance.
• For CR-04 only: Willing and able to work shift work

Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a RCMP Security Clearance throughout their employment. Positions filled will have security clearance requirements at the following levels: RCMP Reliability Status, Secret or Top Secret. This requires a Security/Reliability Interview, and a field investigation in matters of Criminal Activities, credit/finances, education, employment, reference, etc.
