This process will serve to create a group of qualified candidates which could be used to staff similar or identical positions with various tenures, various language requirements and/or various security clearance levels.

Education:
ED1: A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics AND experience related to positions in Financial Management;
OR
ED2: Occupational Certification: Eligibility for a recognized professional accounting designation. The recognized professional accounting designations are Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified General Accountant (CGA).
Notes:
1.The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and must have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization.
2.Indeterminate incumbents of FI positions and of positions at Indian Oil and Gas Canada and the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions that are equivalent to FI Group positions on August 1st, 2004 who do not possess the education level prescribed above are entitled to the following grand-parenting provisions: a.Incumbents of FI-2 or higher positions are deemed to meet the minimum education standard for those levels based on their education, training and/or experience. This note also applies to persons appointed or deployed, for an indeterminate period, to positions in the FI Group after that date as the result of staffing transactions started before August 1st, 2004.
3.The acquired rights provision in Note 2 also applies to employees who were grand-parented as a result of the FI conversion on June 23rd, 1987. Employee entitlement to grand-parenting protection is based on their last classification level in the FI Group.
Experience:
EX1: Experience in interpreting and applying policies, guidelines and procedures.
EX2: Experience in preparing reports with recommendations (including activities such as extracting, compiling and analyzing information).
EX3: Experience in providing information and/or advice to managers for the purpose of decision making.

Education:

AEX2: *Recent experience in working with VACs Social Benefit programs such as Disability Pensions, disability Awards, Treatment, Veterans Independence Program, etc.

AEX: Experience working as a member of the Canadian Forces
*Recent is defined as experience obtained within the last two (2) years.

INSTRUCTIONS
When recording your examples, be sure you:
• Provide concrete, specific examples of actions that speak directly to the experience sought.
• Choose examples with sufficient complexity, impact and degree of difficulty that will allow you to illustrate to what extent and depth you have shown the behaviours expected for each qualification.
• Focus on what you did. In referring to an experience achieved in the context of a team, set your role apart from the role(s) of others.
• Please describe the achievements in the past tense. This will help to ensure that you are providing concrete examples, rather than making general statements (e.g.instead of saying “I work well within a team….” you can say “I worked well with a team when….”).
• Use action verbs when describing your experience i.e. lead, managed, organized, planned, prepared, informed, determined, etc.
• Provide all examples in sentence format.
• Each example must include when the example took place, background of each situation, what you did, how you did it, what your role was in the situation, and what was the outcome.
Preference will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
