Should the inventory be extended, the retest period for re-assessment within the context of this selection process is 180 calendar days from the date of elimination at either the prescreening, the written exam, interview, or reference stage of the process. If, after having been eliminated, you resubmit an application to this process, before the retest period has elapsed, your application will not be considered.
The inventory will be updated every 45 days. The first pull and review of applications will be completed on January 9, 2019.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: OVERSEEING CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS BY...
- Supporting the identification of the design standards applicable to new and changed
aeronautical products, and the approval of the applicant means of compliance to these
standards
- Working with industry engineers, and Transport Canada Delegates, throughout the
phases of certification
- Preparing for and attending certification and technical reviews, witnessing certification
tests, in Canada and abroad
- Coordinating with all areas of expertise involved in the certification of aeronautical
products
- Interacting with foreign certification authorities
- Validating foreign aeronautical products
HOW TO APPLY:
You will be required to demonstrate how you meet the education and each of the experience criteria listed in the essential qualifications and any of the applicable asset qualifications on the Statement of Merit Criteria for the initial screening by answering the online screening questions. Please be sure to include substantiating details that clearly outline the breadth of experience as well as relevant timelines.

A pool of candidates will be established to staff positions on an indeterminate basis and to staff similar or identical positions with various linguistic profiles and/or requirement (English or Bilingual Imperative BBB), with various tenures (term, indeterminate) and/or the security clearance (reliability or secret), which may vary according to the position being staffed at Transport Canada. EDUCATION:
ED: Graduation with a degree from a recognized university in an engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
OR
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:
OC: Eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Canada with specialization in an engineering specialty relevant to the position.

EXPERIENCE:
EX1: Significant* experience in the design, stress analysis, stress methodologies, testing and certification of aeronautical products (Structures Specialty).
*Significant is defined as having 7 or more years of engineering experience whilst progressively acquiring increased engineering technology proficiencies related to structural engineering in the aerospace industry.
EXPERIENCE:
