Public Services and Procurement Canada is seeking new talent interested in a career in the Public Service in the field of marine procurement and contracting. EXPERIENCE:

EX1: Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a procurement related position of significant dollar value* requirements: including the planning of procurement activities (Business to Business or Business to Government), including but not limited to, developing solicitations or evaluation criteria, negotiating contracts, awarding contracts and contract administration.
* Significant dollar value is defined as an individual contract of $1M or more.

EX2: Minimum of four (4) years of experience working in multidisciplinary** project team or working group to achieve procurement objectives;
** Multidisciplinary is defined as: a group composed of members with varied but complementary experience, qualifications, and skills that contribute to the achievement of the organization’s specific objectives.

EDUCATION:
AE1:University degree or College diploma from a recognized institution in Material Management, Business Administration or Commerce, Finance, Computer Sciences, Engineering, Technology fields (Avionics, Mechanical, Electronics or Marine technology) or other field relevant to the position.
AE2:Post-graduate degree in a field related to the position, e.g. Masters in Engineering, Masters in Project Management, Masters in Business Administration.
Occupational Certification:
Eligible for relevant Professional Certification, such as but not limited to Certified Professional Purchaser (CPP), Professional Engineer (P. Eng), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
EXPERIENCE:
Procurement and/or technical experience in one or more of the following fields:
·Military vehicles
·Avionics systems
·Simulators and Trainers
·Specialized Military equipment
·Weapon systems
·Military communications systems
·Airframe or aeroengines
·Marine Industry, e.g. ship construction or, refits or repair and overhaul or in-service support
·Cryptographic equipment
·Cyber or IT Security or Information Security
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Available to work overtime, often on short notice.
Available to travel within Canada (and abroad) including travel by car, rail and air.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Secret or Reliability status security clearance.
