The research affiliate assists the research technician and summer students (if present) in all tasks related to the research project evaluating the effect of cover crops on weed management in northern grapevines. He or she does a literature review on the subject. He or she collects and compiles scientific data. He or she does a synthesis and analysis of the collected data. He or she writes a report that will be part of his/her thesis.
The research affiliate will have access to a personal desk and computer as well as the weed science laboratory located at the research center in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu and the experimental plots will be located at the Frelighsburg federal research farm (grapevine plots). The research affiliate will also be supported by a professional research technician.

Currently enrolled/or willing to enroll in a Bachelor’s or Master’s or PhD program in a recognize post-secondary academic institution with specialization in: plant biology with thesis.
Experience* in plot management in weed science.
Note: *Within the student recruitment framework of the federal public service, experience can be acquired from education, work experience or volunteer activities.
