Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one position on an indeterminate basis, with a linguistic profile of Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB and an RCMP Top Secret security clearance.

A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP in the National Capital Region on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience
- Experience in relational database design and conception of logical and physical data models.
- Recent* experience using structured query language such as: SQL, PL/SQL or T-SQL, write scripts, triggers and procedures
- Recent* experience with Oracle or SQL Server.
- Recent* and significant** experience with Web technology such as ASP.NET, VB, Java Script, or C#

Recent* is defined as experience normally acquired within the last five (5) years.
Significant** is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of complex activities related to this task, which are acquired over a period of at least two (2) years.

Asset Experience:
- Recent* experience in the application of Government of Canada departmental IT standards and policies.
- Experience with application development and maintenance using Client-Server development tools such as: PowerBuilder, or web-development tools such as Visual Studio.
- Experience producing and optimizing reports with tools such as Crystal Report.

Top Secret security clearance - RCMP Top Secret security clearance.
