The Federal Government is re-initiating consultations with Indigenous Peoples for the Trans Mountain Expansion Project. A team is being established to ensure consultation with Indigenous Peoples is done the right way. No relationship is more important to the government than the one with Indigenous Peoples.
This opportunity will be challenging but rewarding. As this Project has substantial potential Economic and Environmental Benefits, as well as extensive involvement and consultation with Indigenous Peoples, it is important that we find team members just as passionate about the work as we are.
A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions at Natural Resources Canada with various tenures (determinate period or indeterminate), various language requirements (English Essential and Bilingual) and profile(s) (BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, CCC/CCC, etc.), various security requirements (reliability or secret), various conditions of employment and for various locations.

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics
Candidates must always have a university degree. The courses for the specialization do not necessarily have to be part of a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Significant * experience providing advice and analysis to senior management** on studies, policies, and/or objectives;
Experience in planning and conducting research and analysis on Indigenous issues for senior management**;
Experience in contributing to the preparation of briefs, presentation decks, reports and/or material for senior management**.
* Significant experience is defined as experience associated with the performance of a large number of complex activities, taking into consideration the scope of duties and responsibility level normally possessed by an individual who has worked in this area for approximately two years (24 months).
**In this context, senior management is defined as Director level or above.
