Under supervision of a research scientist, the student will conduct plant molecular biology research and molecular interaction of plants and microbes. The student will make DNA vectors, bacterial cultures, analyze gene expression, analyze data, prepare draft reports.
The student will work in a plant molecular biology research laboratory.
The London Research and Development Centre is one of a network of national agricultural research centres operated by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. The research centre conducts research on field and vegetable crops, bio-based products and processes, genomics and biotechnology, integrated pest management, and sustainable production systems.

Currently enrolled or eligible to enroll in a PhD program from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in Plant molecular biology and molecular interaction of nitrogen fixing bacteria and plants
Experience in research of molecular biology in Brachypodium distachyon
Experience in research of molecular interaction of monocot plants and nitrogen fixation bacteria
English essential
Information on language requirements
