EDUCATION
Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

Notes:
Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the CS group.

It is the recognized educational institution (e.g. community college, CÉGEP or university) that determines if the courses taken by a candidate correspond to two years of a post-secondary program at the institution.

At the manager's discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience may serve as an alternative to the minimum post-secondary education stated above. Whenever the minimum education is met using this alternative, it is met for the specific position only and must be re-assessed for other positions for which this alternative has been specified by the manager.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
1.Significant** and recent*** (SAP) OR extensive* and recent*** (PeopleSoft) experience in the development and maintenance of at least one of the following:
a. analyzing, programming, testing, debugging, documenting and maintaining SAP or PeopleSoft, and/or;
b. defining and maintaining SAP or PeopleSoft roles and authorizations, and/or;
c. Service Management processes, tools and techniques in an SAP or PeopleSoft context, and/or;
d. System administration and technical operations in an SAP or PeopleSoft context, and/or;
e. Solution architecture in an SAP or PeopleSoft context, and/or;
f. Application configuration in an SAP or PeopleSoft context.

2.Experience providing information management and information technology (IM/IT) advice, assistance and recommendations.

3.Experience in the analysis, investigation and resolution of IM/IT system issues.

4.Experience contributing to at least two (2) IM/IT projects or activities with multidisciplinary **** teams.

5.Experience in planning, organizing and coordinating IT activities and/or projects.

*Extensive experience is defined as the breadth, depth and complexity of experience normally associated with full-time performance of the duties for a period of at least three (3) years.
** Significant experience in the context of essential qualifications is defined as the breadth, depth and complexity of experience working in an environment with a complex and leading edge SAP footprint.

4.Extensive * experience in production support of a PeopleSoft HCM 9.1+ application.

5.Extensive * experience in troubleshooting and supporting of PeopleSoft HCM 9.1+ application including IB interfacing with Pay and downstream systems, providing options and recommendations.

6.Extensive * experience in preparing production implementation plan/checklist and coordinating the tasks with various technical and functional teams, and leading the actual production implementation.

7.Extensive * experience in packaging application changes and migrating/upgrading PeopleSoft applications from development to production.

Application Development
1.Extensive * experience in designing, developing and unit testing PeopleSoft Application Customizations of existing and new SQR, COBOL program, PS objects, PS Code, interfaces, reports, integration broker, and PS modules, etc.

2.Extensive * experience in developing and analyzing requirements, using PeopleTools (i.e., Security Administrator, Application Designer, PeopleCode, PS Queries, Integration Broker, Application Engine, Message Catalog, Datamover etc.) in developing and analyzing requirements.

3.Extensive * experience in designing, developing and unit testing ad hoc reports using BI Publisher, SQR, Application Engine and PS Query.
