The Royal Canadian Mounted Police is the Canadian national police service and an agency of the Ministry of Public Safety Canada. The RCMP hires a number of experts in various disciplines, such as finance, human resources, information management, customer service, processing and law enforcement, to name a few.
The majority of the positions are located at 73 Leikin Drive in Barrhaven (Ottawa).
Random selection may be used at any time during the process to identify which applicants from the inventory will be assessed.
A pool of qualified candidates will be established and used to staff similar positions within the RCMP in Ottawa on an indeterminate and/or term and/or casual basis, with various bilingual imperative profiles and security requirements.
Re-evaluation period: If candidates are eliminated during the screening stage based on education and experience, the re-evaluation period will be a 6 month waiting period. After this period, candidates may resubmit their application with additional detailed information in order to be reconsidered.

EDUCATION:
Successful completion of two years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience in performing general office support (General office support is defined as report processing, managing telephone calls, filing, data entry, photocopying, scanning and dealing with clients);
Experience in using a variety of software programs such as word processing, e-mail, data base and spreadsheet applications
Experience in the use of a financial information system such as Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP);
Experience in accounting operations such as accounts payable or accounts receivable or salary management;
Experience in the provision of human resource support services;
Experience in organizing and maintaining information/records;
Experience in conducting searches and retrieval of records/files;
Experience in providing client service in person, by telephone and/or e-mail;
Experience in gathering, compiling and analyzing information;
Experience in working in a processing, mailing or distribution environment;
Experience working with law enforcement data banks and/or police records management systems.
Bilingual - Imperative
ALL positions staffed through this process will be Bilingual imperative BBB/BBB (intermediate) or higher. Therefore, all candidates who are considering applying should be willing and ready to be tested for Reading, Writing and Oral proficiency in their second official language (English or French). This testing is administered by the Public Service Commission (PSC) via Second Language Evaluations (SLE). Those who have already been tested by the PSC and obtained a minimum of BBB will not need to be retested unless their results have expired (or will expire shortly).

Reliability Status security clearance - Positions will require either an RCMP Reliability (Enhanced), Secret or a Top Secret security clearance.
