EDUCATION
ED: A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
OC1: Possession of a valid Canadian Commercial Pilot License - Helicopter Category with a valid Group IV Instrument Rating.
OC2: Possession of a valid Restricted Radio-Telephone Operator Certificate (endorsed Aeronautical).
OC3: Possession of a Helicopter Night Rating.
EXPERIENCE
EX1: Recent* experience as a Certified Type A IFR TC Approved Check Pilot (ACP) or eligible for certification by meeting the flight experience required to qualify for a type A IFR ACP as per Transport Canada’s Approved Check Pilot Manual (TP 6533), tenth edition section 4.1 (i) Minimum Flight Experience.
EX2: 3500 hours of experience as a helicopter pilot including at least 3000 hours as Pilot-in-Command in a variety of turbine powered helicopters.
EX3: At least 250 hours of experience on multi-engine helicopters.
EX4: Experience as a training pilot.
EX5: Experience in vertical reference and other external load operations.
*"Recent" is defined as within the last 5 years

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
AOC1: Possession of a valid Canadian Airline Transport License - Helicopter (ATPL-H).
AOC2: Possession of a Helicopter Instructor rating.
AOC3: Possession of one or more of the following endorsements: BH06, B429, BH41 or BH407.
EXPERIENCE
AEX1: Experience as a training pilot in helicopter Full Flight Simulators (FFS)
AEX2: Experience with NVG equipment.
AEX3: Experience in Shipboard operations.
AEX4: Experience in the development and delivery of classroom instruction.

Should you successfully pass the screening portion of this process, you will be assessed on the following qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE
K1: Knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations and Standards governing the operations of VFR and IFR helicopters operations.
K2: Knowledge of teaching methods employed in helicopter training.
K3: Knowledge of helicopters aerodynamics.
ABILITIES
A1: Ability to develop, organize and direct training programs.
A2: Ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations using Microsoft Power Point.
A3: Ability to communicate effectively orally.
A4: Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
