Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience related to the duties to be performed.
Experience working in a laboratory setting associated with the production and processing of fine powders.
Experience in calibration and operation of laboratory measuring equipment.
Experience in data collection and analysis.
Experience in incorporating health and safety guidelines and procedures in work processes and products associated with the production of fine powders.
English essential
Information on language requirements
Knowledge of maintenance and operation of laboratory equipment used to prepare solid samples.
Knowledge of preparation techniques used for fine powders.
Knowledge of inventory management practices.
Knowledge of shipping practices for fine powders.
Knowledge of health and safety practices in a laboratory setting.
Knowledge of quality control procedures and techniques used in a laboratory.
Knowledge of methods and techniques used in the chemical analysis of mining and environmental samples. (Asset)
Ability to calibrate and operate laboratory-measuring equipment to ensure that exact and precise data are collected.
