EDUCATION:
All streams:
ED1: Successful completion of two (2) years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialization relevant to the position being staffed, OR an acceptable combination of education and experience.
The acceptable combination is defined as having a secondary school diploma in addition to a minimum of approximately three (3) years of experience in the Information Technology (IT) field.
EXPERIENCE:
Both Streams:
EX1: Significant* experience in using monitoring tools, event management as well as systems or database analysis tools.
Stream A:
EX2: Significant* experience in the administration of servers.
EX3: Significant* experience in scripting, using PowerShell or Bash/Unix.
EX4: Significant* experience in administrating Web/application servers such as Apache/ Tomcat or IIS in Windows or Unix environments.
Stream B:
EX2: Significant* experience in the administration of databases.
EX3: Significant* experience in the administration of at least two (2) of the following database technologies: Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
EX4: Significant* experience in database installation, configuration and backup.
- Significant* is defined as experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of related activities for a period of approximately two (2) years.

AEX1: Experience working in a complex IT workplace including multiple application or database environments.
AEX2: Experience working with version control systems.
AEX3: Experience documenting business requirements into technical requirements.
AEX4: Experience troubleshooting technical issues and identifying potential solutions to meet changing user requirements.
AEX5: Experience preparing technical documentation (e.g., user guides, technical specifications).
Stream A:
AEX6: Experience in designing, implementing and maintaining cloud environments, or managing applications in the cloud.
