This process may be used to staff both EG-05 and EG-06 positions that require the same qualifications.

For this selection process, our intention is to communicate with applicants by e-mail for screening/assessment purposes (including issuing screening results, and sending invitations for written tests and interviews). The immediate intent is to staff four (4) positions (2 civil designers, 1 mechanical designer and 1 electrical designer) at CFB Gagetown, located in Oromocto NB.
A pool of qualified candidates may be created to staff similar positions of various tenures within the Atlantic region of Real Property Operations.

EDUCATION:
-Successful completion of an engineering technology diploma or engineering degree program from a recognized technical institute with a specialization related to the fields of architecture, civil engineering, electrical engineering or mechanical engineering.
EXPERIENCE:
All experience must be relevant to the position being staffed and experience obtained in school may also be considered.
-Recent* experience in preparing designs, specifications and cost estimates for capital construction projects including repairs and upgrades.
-Recent* experience writing/developing Statements of Work or Scopes of Work.
-Recent* experience in developing drawings and preparing plans.
-Recent* experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
-Experience coordinating work, such as but not limited to multiple stakeholders and projects.
*Recent is defined as experience acquired within the last five (5) years.
Occupational Certification:
Certified as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng)
OR
Certified as an Engineering Technologist (CET or PTech)
Experience:
-Experience in multi-disciplined project management
-Experience managing a financial budget
-Experience producing specifications using NMS Edit
-Experience using AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit
-Experience working with Microsoft Project
-Experience in preparing Architectural designs and cost estimates for one or more of the following:
• Site planning, landscaping and aesthetics.
• Space planning, utilization and ecology.
• Furnishings, interiors and ergonomics.
• Building envelopes and roofing technology.
• Heritage buildings.
• LEED certified building projects.
-Experience in preparing Civil designs and cost estimates for one or more of the following:
• Structural Steel.
• Reinforced Concrete.
• Roads and culverts.
• Bridges.
• Water and waste water distribution systems.
• LEED certified building projects.
-Experience in preparing Electrical designs and cost estimates for one or more of the following:
• Primary electrical distribution systems and sub-systems.
• Building electrical systems and servicing.
• Lighting.
• Building Systems including fire alarm and security.
• Communication and backbone systems.
• LEED certified building projects.
-Experience in preparing Mechanical designs and cost estimates for one or more of the following:
• Heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
• Plumbing.
• Building automation.
• Fire protection.
• Water and waste water treatment.
• Fuel distribution and storage.
• Elevating Devices.
• LEED certified building projects
