Work environment

Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) has an interesting and unique mandate by playing a role in supporting services and programs in communities such as health, education, economic development, housing, community infrastructure and social support. In the context of reconciliation, ISC supports Aboriginal peoples (First Nations, Inuit and Métis) in their efforts to improve social well-being and economic prosperity to the benefit of all Canadians.

Intent of the process

Currently there is a temporary vacancy to be staffed until October 1, 2020. A pool of qualified candidates will be established from this advertised process which may be used to staff similar temporary and/or permanent positions.

A covering letter in 4,000 words (maximum) "VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE: It is your responsibility as a candidate to submit a cover letter, which clearly outlines how you meet each of the screening qualifications (i.e Education and Experience Qualifications, both Essential and Assets) as well as a CV which is linked to the information in your cover letter. Education:
• Graduation with a Master’s degree from a recognized university with specialization in Epidemiology.

Degree equivalency

Experience
• Experience in data collection, analysis, interpretation and reporting on data results.
• Experience using statistical software.
