Intent of the process

This process is to staff the positions:

1)Director, Evaluation
2)Director, Results
3)Director, Corporate Planning & Risk Management

A pool of candidates MAY be created and MAY be used to make indeterminate or acting appointments at the EX-01 group and level to staff current and future DFO/CCG positions across Canada. All federal organizations listed in Schedules I, IV and V of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) may use this staffing process to appoint a candidate to its organization in a similar position if a pool is created .

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:

Degree from a recognized postsecondary institution.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

Extensive experience in managing corporate planning and reporting; risk management; evaluation; or results functions

Extensive experience in providing strategic advice to senior managers on corporate issues

Experience in establishing and maintaining partnerships with senior managers and various stakeholders

Experience in managing human and financial resources

Note:
*Extensive is defined as experience associated with having performed a broad range of related activities which would normally be acquired over a period of 3 to 5 years.

** Senior Manager is defined as Director General level and above

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

A Chartered Accountant (CA) designation in good standing (applicable to the Director, Corporate Planning, Performance & Risk Management) A Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution (applicable to the Director, Results; Director, Evaluation)

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

Experience working with other government departments and central agencies on horizontal planning and reporting, risk management, results, or evaluation projects

Bilingual - Imperative (CBC/CBC)

KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledge of the Department’s mission, strategic directions, goals and objectives of its programs and services, and of the environment within which it operates.
