Conducts a variety of cleaning/housekeeping/maintenance services.

The incumbent of this position has Peace Officer Designation.

The intent of this process is to staff one permanent position at Kent Institution in Agassiz, BC.
A pool of qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff similar temporary and/or permanent positions within the Correctional Service of Canada in the Pacific Region.

EDUCATION
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience
EXPERIENCE:
Experience providing cleaning services in either a commercial, multi-residential, or institutional environment.
English essential

EXPERIENCE:
Possession of a current Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certificate
Experience in the operation and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment
Experience in the proper techniques and methods to clean up bodily fluids / biohazard spills
Experience providing cleaning services in a Health Care facility
Experience working in a correctional environment
Experience in the use of various software programs such as: Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook.

Willingness and ability to work overtime
Reliability Status security clearance
Physically able to lift and relocate packages and equipment to various locations, as per the Canada Occupational Health and Safety Regulations Part 14.
