The Department of National Defence (DND) is one of the largest federal government employers, offering over 70 different types of civilian career opportunities. DND's role is to provide services and support to the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) in their operations and missions at home and abroad. As a civilian employee, you will be an essential part of the Defence Team. This process will be used to staff two indeterminate (permanent) positions in Valcartier and one in Kingston. Meanwhile, a pool of candidates will be established and may be used to staff positions for determinate (casual) periods. This pool could be used to fill similar positions within the Department of National Defense with various language proficiencies and security profiles.

Education:
Bachelor from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in nursing or College degree (DEC) in nursing care.
Experience:
Recent* and significant** experience in nursing offering a full range of nursing act in a health establishment.
Experience working in a health care environment, including walking clinics and/or emergency.
Experience working in an inter-disciplinary environment.
*Recent is defined by experience gained within the last 5 years.
**Significant refers to the depth and breadth associated with the performance of duties normally acquired over a period of two (2) years or more.

For Quebec candidates, must possess a nursing licence in good standing from Quebec province;
For other provinces, must possess a nursing license in good standing from provincial or a territorial registering/ licensing body/ in the province of intended practice.
