Information on accommodation for persons with disabilities
The intent of this process is to staff vacancies in Halifax and Vancouver and to establish a pool of qualified candidates for anticipatory vacancies in Vancouver, Toronto and Halifax regional offices. A pool of qualified candidates may be established to staff similar positions of various tenures within the Public Service Commission. This pool may also be used to staff similar positions within other federal departments.

Reliability Status security clearance
Applicants must complete the Unsupervised Internet Test of Cognitive Ability - Level 1 as part of the screening for this selection process. This test assesses general problem solving and reasoning ability. You will have 60 minutes to complete the test. You must complete the test before you submit your application for this position.

Your response to the question "Why do you want to work for the federal government?" will be used to evaluate your written communication ability.
The General Competency Test: Level 1 (GCT1-207) will be administered in an office of the PSC. You must select one test location (in your application) from the following cities: Halifax (NS), Montreal (QC), Gatineau (QC), Toronto (ON) Vancouver (BC).
Candidates are required to pay for their own travel expenses for any stage of the assessment process and will not be reimbursed.
Random selection and/or top-down selection based on test results may be used at any step of the process.
Persons are entitled to participate in the appointment process in the official language of their choice. You are asked to indicate your preferred official language in your application.
Communication for this process will be sent via email. It is your responsibility to ensure accurate contact information is provided and updated as required.
