The immediate intent of this selection process is to staff one Advisor, IT Assets Management position on an permanent basis (indeterminate).
A pool of qualified or partially assessed candidates will be established from this process and may be used to staff identical or similar positions with various language requirements, tenures and various security requirements.

EDUCATION
Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
EXPERIENCE
- Significant* and recent** experience in administration or technical support of workstations (Win7 +) and servers (Win2008 and +) in a Microsoft Windows network environment
- Significant * and recent ** experience in systems administration in a Linux environment
*Significant experience means the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of related activities for a period of approximately two (2) years.
** Recent experience is defined as experience that has been obtained within approximately the last five (5) years.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree successfully completed in computer science, information technology or another field related to the position to be filled
- Certification in project management
- Recent* and significant** experience in database administration
- Recent* and significant** experience in the management of a Linux computer park
* Recent experience is defined as experience that has been obtained within approximately the last five (5) years.
** Significant experience means the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of related activities for a period of approximately two (2) years.

KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of computers, their software and peripherals, Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN), IT telecommunications, IT security concepts and principles and the system architectures in client-server and web environments
- Knowledge of Windows Operating System 7 and more recent
- Knowledge of Windows Server 8 and more recent
- Knowledge of Linux Operating System
