THE IMMEDIATE INTENT OF THIS PROCESS IS TO TEMPORARILY STAFF AN EG-06 POSITION OF GEOMATICS SPECIALIST WITH A BILINGUAL IMPERATIVE BBB/BBB LINGUISTIC PROFILE. A pool of partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions within the Department of Public Services and Procurement Canada across Canada with various tenures. The pool can be used to staff positions with various linguistic requirements and various security requirements. The position to staff is currently located in Gatineau, Place du Portage 3, but the pool could be used for Ottawa if needed.

EDUCATION:
Successful completion of a college/CEGEP diploma in Geomatics, architecture, land surveying, civil engineering, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or in another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
EXPERIENCES:
- Experience working with the PWGSC Area Measurement Policy 1998;
- Experience in using the BOMA standards and guidelines for measuring space;
- Experience working with AutoCAD;
- Experience in developing technical documents or procedures such as training material or instructions.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in programming and customizing AutoCAD software and other Autodesk products for 2D and 3D representation;
- Experience in the provision of expert technical and strategic advice related to Autodesk
products;
- Experience in managing business requirements for Geomatics tools and software;
- Experience working with at least one of the following product Archibus, ESRI or FME.
