The intent of this process is to staff one (1) EC-07 bilingual imperative (CBC/CBC) position indeterminately in the National Capital Region.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar EC-07 positions with different tenures (indeterminate, specified period, assignment/secondment, acting appointment and extension of acting appointment), with various linguistic profiles and requirements and security levels (reliability or secret), within Environment and Climate Change Canada.

Education:
ED1. Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.
Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience:
EX1. Significant* and recent** experience in preparing and delivering briefings for senior*** management.
EX2. Significant* and recent** experience in conducting/coordinating policy analysis and preparing policy positions.
EX3. Recent** experience in managing project teams and providing advice in a regulatory environment
*Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of the duties during a period of three (3) years.
**Recent is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of the duties during the last five (5) years.
*** Senior Management is defined as Director General-level and above.
Asset Qualification - Education
AED1. Graduation with an advanced degree (Masters) from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology, statistics, environmental science, health science, social planning, or public administration.
Asset Qualifications - Experience
AEX1. Experience working in a Branch or Assistant Deputy Minister's office.
AEX2. Experience working as a Senior Advisor to a Branch or an Assistant Deputy Minister.
AEX3. Experience working in an Industry Association or Non-Governmental Organization.
AEX4. Experience working on issues pertaining to the energy or electricity sector.
AEX5. Experience managing human and financial resources.
