The immediate need is to staff one term position in Ottawa, Ontario until March 31, 2019 (with the possibility of extension). A qualified pool may be established to staff similar positions with various tenures (temporary or indeterminate), and conditions of employment within Environment and Climate Change Canada.

EDUCATION
Graduation from a post-secondary educational program in electrical engineering technology or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in electrical equipment wiring, maintenance and operation
Experience with the installation of dynamometers
Experience with the specifications and purchase of electric components and instrumentation
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE
Experience in the use of computer systems
Experience in testing vehicles
Experience with government procurement (ordering) processes
English essential
Information on language requirements
KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of electrical and electronic equipment and systems
Knowledge of electric vehicle and electric dynamometers
Knowledge of OSH and ESA safety practices
ABILITIES
Ability to read electrical wiring schematics
Ability to prepare and document electrical drawings
Ability to install and calibrate electric motor feedback systems as load cells, speed sensors and torque meters
Ability to perform modifications and repairs as necessary including installing parts and conduit, and wiring
