EDUCATION
Secondary school diploma or a combination of education, training and related experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience in the production with textile products.
Experience using garment production equipment such as sewing machines or other specialized sewing equipment.
Experience in using Word, Outlook and Excel
EDUCATION:
A professional degree in a field related to the position.
EXPERIENCE:
CUTTING ROOM:
Experience in a textiles production facility.
Experience working from patterns.
Experience in managing inventory.
FOR PRODUCTION:
Significant and recent experience (at least one year) in the production of textile products.
FOR RECEIVING / SHIPPING:
Experience in operating a forklift (example: competency card)
Experience in the control of quality assurance program.
Experience in managing inventory.
Experience in packaging and distribution of orders.
English essential
Information on language requirements
KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of the Correctional Service of Canada, its mission and its values.
Knowledge of CORCAN.
Knowledge of the sewing equipment used in the production of textile products.
Knowledge of the steps to follow for cutting and production of textile products.
ABILITIES:
Ability to provide training on sewing equipment.
Ability to supervise staff.
Ability to write reports.
