The Finance and Administration Branch (FAB) from PSPC provides leadership to the Department in the delivery of financial management, accommodation and procurement initiatives.

Positions to be staffed in the National Capital Region have bilingual language requirements (Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB)
A pool of partially qualified candidates will be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions within the Public Service and Procurement Canada with various language requirements and various security requirements.

Education:
- A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics.
OR
- Eligibility for a recognized professional accounting designation. The recognized professional accounting designations are CPA,CA; CPA,CGA; CPA,CMA; CPA.
Experience:
Significant* and recent** experience acquired in ONE (1) or more of the following areas:
*«Significant» is defined as the combined experience in ONE OR MORE of the following fields that would have been gained for a period of approximately 2 or more years.
**«Recent» is defined as experience acquired within the last five (5) years.
• Financial Management (Financial planning; budgeting and forecasting; reporting; advisory services)
• Financial Operations
• Financial Systems
• Internal controls
• Cost Management (costing and charging)
• Investment Management
Education:
• Member of a recognized professional accounting body and hold one of the following designations: CPA,CA; CPA,CGA; CPA,CMA; CPA.
• Member of a recognized professional association in Audit (CIA or CISA).
EXPERIENCE
• Experience working with SAP financial system;
• Experience in preparing Treasury Board submissions;
• Experience in preparing presentations;
• Experience supervising employees;
• Experience in developing OR presenting training OR information sessions.
• Experience in conducting financial audits and/or assessments of internal controls.
• Experience using Business Intelligence tools.
• Experience in Data extraction and Data Analysis.
• Experience in development or revision or interpretation of financial policies and their instruments
Various language requirements
Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)
The need is to staff positions with linguistic profile of Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB. However, a pool of partially qualified candidates may be used to staff positions with various language requirements such as CBC/CBC, English Essential or French Essential.
