Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one position located in Ottawa, Ontario from August 2018 to March 2020

Information you must provide

Your résumé.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Graduation with a degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in natural, physical or applied science with specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position.

Or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

• Recent (within last 5 years) and significant (greater than 6 months) experience operating laboratory instrumentation and/or equipment in a rock or mineral preparation laboratory
• Conducting routine maintenance of laboratory equipment
• Maintaining logs, files, and records associated with laboratory and/or maintenance activities

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

• Experience operating rock crushing/disaggregating equipment such as Bico, Chipmunk or Sturtevant crushers/pulverizers or electro-pulse disaggregation equipment (e.g. Selfrag, or Spark-2)
• Experience performing density separation techniques such as Wilfey/Rogers/Deister tables/heavy liquid methods
• Experience repairing and maintaining rock crushing, pulverizing or hydroseparation equipment
• Experience preparing written reports and procedural or safety manuals
• Experience developing methods or adapting technologies.
