The duties of a Junior Programmer Analyst are :
-Participates in the design, development, implementation, integration and maintenance of software applications as directed.
-Participates in testing and quality assurance activities.
-Assists in the provision of application support services.
-Participates in analyzing, defining and documenting client requirements.
-Under direction, produces programming specifications, writes new or modifies existing code, writes and updates documentation on application systems, software, tools, functions or interfaces to facilitate systems development and implementation activities.
-Participates in work teams, project teams and committees and assists in delivering training.
-Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in application design, development and testing, and programming languages.
Matane :
Our office is located in the beautiful region of Gaspésie five minutes walk from the St-Laurence river. Our offices are located at Rene Tremblay Building, which houses mainly the Cheque Redemption Control Directorate (CRCD) and offices of Shared Services Canada (SSC) and Pay Administration Branch (PAB). A building reorganization is underway to better meet the growing needs of our branches and our premises will be revamped in the coming years.
You will be part of a young and dynamic programmers team. You will participate in document imaging solutions development projects for CRCD.

The immediate need is to staff various positions of programmer analyst (term or permanent) in Matane and Montréal.
A pool of partially qualified candidates will be create to staff similar positions with various tenures (term and/or permanent) and with various linguistic requirements within Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC),Quebec Region.

Two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program successfully completed in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management or any field pertaining to the position
Experience* :
-Experience with programming languages such as .NET (VB.NET, C#), Java
-Experience with SQL or SQLite database queries
*The experience requested can be acquired in the context of a professional work environment or during the school years at a school project for example.
Certification :
-Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation Certification
-Certification related to software development (programming languages, and so on)
-Certification related to databases
Experience :
-Experience in maintaining C# software using Visual Studio
-Experience in writing reports and documents
-Experience in developing plans and test scenarios and to write and run tests
-Experience designing web application
Various language requirements
Bilingual imperative (BBB/BBB), French essential
