Duties

The incumbent provides assistance to steam/pipe fitters and asbestos technicians in the performance of their duties of the maintenance, alterations and repairs of steam heating, hot water, heating and air handling networks at 14 Wing Greenwood.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:
- Possession of a valid Nova Scotia or inter-provincial journeyperson's certification as a Steam/Pipe Fitter or a minimum two years Apprenticeship as a Steam/Pipe Fitter.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum (2) years’ experience working as a Steam/Pipe Fitter Journey Person or as a Steam/Pipe Fitter apprentice

- Must be willing to work overtime as operations permit

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Reliability Status security clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Nova Scotia driver's license
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DND 404
- Must be willing to wear Protective Equipment
- Ability to work in Confined Spaces
