A pool of partially qualified candidates will be established to staff similar positions within the Department with various tenures (assignment, secondment, acting, specified period or indeterminate).

Education

The minimum standard is:
•A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (see Note 1).

1.The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are: ◦A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
◦An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience
EX-1 – Experience liaising with various stakeholders;

EX-2 - Experience tracking and monitoring project activities;

EX-3 - Experience providing advice, guidance and/or recommendations;

EX-4 - Experience in researching, analyzing and preparing documentation to provide responses and/or recommendations;

EX-5 - Experience in reviewing budgetary requirements and tracking expenditures for projects and/or initiatives.

Various language requirements
Bilingual imperative BBB/BBB and CBC/CBC, English essential and French essential.
* As part of SSC’s Official Languages Strategy, positions with supervision in bilingual regions will be bilingual imperative level CBC.

Abilities
A1-Ability to identify problems and develop solutions and/or recommendations;
A2-Ability to organize workload, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines;

A5- Ability in supervision.

Personal Suitability

Education:
Project Management Certificate from a recognized Canadian University or;

CERTIFICATIONS
Project Management Accreditation (either Project Management Institute Professional; Prince 2 Practitioner; or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM);

Degree equivalency

Experience
AE-1: Experience in financial system SIGMA/SAP (funds commitments, de-commitments, actuals, PAYE), Procure to Purchase (P2P), Business Intelligence (BI);

AE-2: Experience in project management system Enterprise Portfolio System/Clarity, MS project application;

AE-3: Experience in supervision;

EA-4 - Experience with information management;

EA-5 -Experience with travel and procurement.
