Duties

The student will process museum specimens and enter distribution data for the weed and related herbivores. They will also assist with related field work and data entry.

Work environment

AAFC is actively involved in providing scientific expertise in support of sustainable development of the agriculture sector. This position will contribute to that effort, as part of a project to monitor the spread of an invasive weed species.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Currently enrolled or eligible to enroll in a Master’s program at the University of Ottawa with specialization in: plant-insect interactions.

The candidate must be recognized as a full time post-secondary student in an accredited institution.

Degree equivalency

Experience with biological lab and field work, and data analysis with R.
