Your résumé.
A degree, certificate or diploma from a recognized Canadian university or college in industrial hygiene, safety management, loss control management or safety engineering.
Extensive* experience in the health and safety field.
Extensive* experience in managing an occupational safety program in a combined unionized and non-unionized environment.
(*Extensive is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of those duties for a period of approximately five (5) years).
Certification as an occupational safety specialist or industrial hygienist such as: Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) – certified by the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals;
• Registered Occupational Hygienist (ROH) or Registered Occupational Hygiene Technologies (ROHT) – certified by the Canadian Registration Board of Occupational Hygienists;
• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene or jointly with the Board of Certified Safety Professionals;
• Canadian Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC) – certified by the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering;
Experience with the Canada Labour Code or Provincial Government OHS Legislation
Experience delivering training.
Experience investigating harassment and violence in the workplace.

Security Clearance: RCMP Enhanced Reliability Status
Must obtain either of the below certifications within two years of hire:

2) Registered Occupational Hygienist (ROH) or Registered Occupational Hygiene Technologies (ROHT) – certified by the Canadian Registration Board of Occupational Hygienists

You may be assessed using one or more of the following tools: standardized tests, written exams, interview, simulation exercise, reference check, and other assessment tools.
Testing/interviews will be conducted at the location of the employer's choice.
