EDUCATION:
Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution
EXPERIENCE:
Recent and Extensive* experience in the management of national science program(s) and activities, or program management experience of a major operational organization.
Recent and Extensive* experience in dealing with politically sensitive and complex issues, and in providing strategic advice to elected officials (e.g. Minister) and senior executives (e.g. Deputy Minister).
Recent and Extensive* experience in the management of human and financial resources in a large and complex organization.
Note: *Recent and extensive experience" is defined as experience associated with having performed a broad range of related activities which would have been acquired approximately over the last two years at an executive level
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE:
Experience in conducting and leading complex consultations with First Nations, and public stakeholders
Experience in providing functional leadership in a decentralized, matrix based organization
Bilingual - Imperative (CBC/CBC)

Knowledge of the Government of Canada’s priorities and its legislative framework related to Fisheries and Oceans Canada
